HUB Procurement Connection Seminar & EXPO in Austin
Supplier diversity can be beneficial to both buyers and sellers. The goal of the Statewide Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program is to actively involve Texas-certified HUBs (minority-owned, woman-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses) in the state’s procurement processes and ensure they receive a fair share of state business. On Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, the Statewide HUB Program will host the “2016 Procurement Connection Seminar and EXPO” (PCSE) at the Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd., Austin, Texas. The event, which is open and free to the public, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Online registration is now open: Also, please follow the latest PCSE event updates on Facebook and Twitter and search #PCSEAustin16. The PCSE will provide educational workshops on doing business with state and local governments, as well as the private sector. Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar will deliver the keynote address, and representatives from Texas state agencies, universities and businesses will distribute information about their organizations and procurement needs.
