The Trinity Railway Express travels from Downtown Fort Worth to Downtown Dallas. Stations include Texas & Pacific (Downtown Fort Worth), Intermodal Transportation Center (Downtown Fort Worth), Richland Hills, Bell, CentrePort, West Irving, Downtown Irving, Medical/Market Center, Victory and Union Station (Downtown Dallas). Use TRE to meet up with DART's Green Line at Victory Station for front gate service to Fair Park. |

| Oct 14 Fort Worth BookFest |
We invite you to attend the first ever Fort Worth BookFest! This family friendly event launches Saturday, October 14, 2017 on Tarrant County College Trinity River Campus in Downtown Fort Worth. Come join the fun, meet the authors writing for all ages and genres, and participate in activities planned for ages two to one hundred two. BookFest is a multi-genre literary event that will provide a platform for raising awareness of the transformative power of literacy in our community our mission.
The Fort Worth BookFest Organizing Team is cross-cultural and community-driven. We have collaborated with Max Rodriguez, founder / publisher of the famed Harlem Book Fair and the critically acclaimed QBR – The Quarterly Black Book Review. Harlem Book Fair is an 18-year old Book Fair carried on C-Span BookTV each year live and in replays.

| Oct 27 NAACP 40th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet |
You're invited to the 40th Annual Dr. George D. Flemmings Memorial Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, October 27th at 6:45pm at the Will Rogers Memorial Center's Round Up Inn (complimentary parking will be provided). This is the annual fundraiser for the NAACP Fort Worth Tarrant County Branch.
This year's keynote speaker will be the Honorable Maxine Waters, (D-43rd-CA) a member of the United States House of Representatives. Representative Waters serve as the ranking member of the House Committee on Financial Services. She is also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and its former Chair. Needless to say she will bring a powerful message.
The evening will include dinner, entertainment and a special tribute to Judge L. Clifford Davis. Judge Davis has built a legacy in the legal profession that has spanned over 60 years. His work is the stuff that "Legal Legends" are made of.
